I don't have any phlebotomy experience, can I still take the class?
Yes! Our class is designed for the first-timer with no prior phlebotomy or medical experience.

What is the starting pay scale for an entry phlebotomist?
The pay ranges from what type of facility you work for. Whether it is a hospital, clinic, Dr.’s Office, Blood Bank, Plasma Center, Research, or Insurance Exams. These wages begin at $8.70 an hour and can reach up to $16.

Is there a need for Phlebotomists?
Yes! This field has a high turnover rate because most phlebotomist move on to something else in Health care. They use phlebotomy as a stepping-stone. So there is a constant need.

Why should I take a phlebotomy class?
Phlebotomy is a great way to get your foot in the door to the medical field. It gives you an opportunity to see all aspects of medicine and nursing. The hours are always very flexible, so it allows you to go to school, or take care of your family. If you want to further your education, most hospitals have what is called “Tuition Reimbursement”. So if you work as a phlebotomist, they will actually pay for a percentage of your schooling.

What do I do if I need to miss a class?
We have classes that run 6 days a week and at various locations, so you are welcome to come to any of those classes to make up the one you missed at no extra charge.

If I’m uncomfortable drawing blood at the end of the six weeks, can I stay longer?
Absolutely! We want to make sure each student is comfortable and confident with their skills before they leave our classroom. You are welcome to stay as long as it takes until you are ready. This is also FREE!. Even if it has been 6 months since you finished the class, you are still welcomed back anytime to practice.
